Green Africa Youth Organization continues to show its commitment to our environment by joining Environment 360’s 1^st Annual Float Your Boat (FYB) fundraising event. The event takes place on October 3^rd, 2015, and is the first fundraising for Environment 360 – an environmental group that believes children are powerful change agents in transforming communities into cleaner and greener spaces. The organization provides interactive field trips and educational resources that help children in their formative years to learn about the environment through discovery and exploration.  Green Africa Youth Organization is hoping to lead the StarrFM team to victory this year. Other teams include the Pirri Foundation, UT Bank/Abaa Buw, Google Ghana, Graphic/Trotro Diaries, and Adventure Junkies, Float Your Boat 2015 – as the name implies, will bring together environmental groups and donors of the event to build a boats or rafts with plastics.

As donors give to support a great cause of environmental protection, their plastic boats built by their respective environmental groups will float for victory.  The event is family oriented and will have a variety of activities and craft stations to keep participants busy throughout the day. After the race, all boats are recycled.  The event is sponsored by Alliance Motors, dealers of Jaguar and Land Rover, and Coca Cola.  Media partners are Graphic and StarrFm.

Green Africa Youth Organization is proud to announce their partnership with Starr Fm on this event and we are highly confident to building the strongest and beautiful plastic boat – for victory. On the 19^th of September 2015, Environment 360, led by Ms. Cordie Aziz, launched FYB Fundraising event at Kaya, Cantoments. At the launching, Ms. Christiana Amedzro and Mr. Joseph Agyemang the event coordinators of Green Africa Youth Organization were there to announce our healthy partnership for FYB.
